Psalm 130

»

1 Out of the depths have I cried unto Thee, O LORD;

2 LORD, hear my voice! Let Thine ears be attentive to the voice of my supplications.

3 If Thou, LORD, shouldest mark iniquities, O LORD, who shall stand?

4 But there is forgiveness with Thee, that Thou mayest be feared.

5 I wait for the LORD, my soul doth wait, and in His word do I hope.

6 My soul waiteth for the LORD more than they that watch for the morning-- I say, more than they that watch for the morning.

7 Let Israel hope in the LORD, for with the LORD there is mercy, and with Him is plenteous redemption.

8 And He shall redeem Israel from all his iniquities.

About: The 21st Century King James Version (KJ21)

The 21st Century King James Version (KJ21) is an updated version of the King James Version Bible published in 1994 that remains aligned to the Textus Receptus, and does not exclude biblical passages based on Alexandrian Greek manuscripts. Unlike the New King James Version, it does not change the language significantly from the 1611 King James Version, keeping Jacobean grammar (including thee and thou), but it tries to substitute some of the vocabulary that may not be understood by the modern reader.

The alterations in words are based on the second edition of the Webster New International Dictionary. There were no changes related to gender or theology. Recently, it has the capitalization of pronouns much like New King James Version, addressing Deity while keeping the archaic pronouns.
