« | Psalm 13 | » |
1 For the end, A Psalm of David. How long, O Lord, will You forget me? Forever? How long will You turn away Your face from me?
2 How long shall I take counsel in my soul, [having] sorrows in my heart daily? How long shall my enemy be exalted over me?
3 Look on me, hearken to me, O Lord my God: lighten my eyes, lest I sleep in death;
4 lest at any time my enemy say, I have prevailed against him: my persecutors will exalt if ever I should be moved.
5 But I have hoped in Your mercy; my heart shall rejoice in Your salvation.
6 I will sing to the Lord who has dealt bountifully with me, and I will sing psalms to the name of the Lord Most High.

The Apostles’ Bible Complete (ABC) is a modern translation of the Bible that strives to offer a clear and faithful rendering of the scriptures in contemporary language. This translation is designed to be accessible to a wide audience, providing an easy-to-read yet accurate version of the biblical text. The ABC translation aims to bridge the gap between the ancient languages in which the Bible was originally written and the modern vernacular, making it an ideal choice for both personal study and public reading.

The translators of the ABC worked meticulously with the Hebrew, Aramaic, and Greek texts to ensure that their translation accurately reflects the original meaning and intent of the scriptures. By employing a balance of formal equivalence (word-for-word) and dynamic equivalence (thought-for-thought) translation techniques, the ABC aims to preserve the nuances and richness of the original languages while ensuring readability and clarity for modern readers.
